Aromha is committed to making aromha.com and the Aromha Brain Health Test usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Brain health is for everyone, and getting to a screening test should be too.

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we have actually tested

Every page of this website is checked automatically against WCAG 2.1 Level AA on every change we make, using axe-core. That check currently passes on all 84 pages with zero violations, and it blocks a release. If a change introduced a violation, it would not ship.

We have also built the site so that content is structured semantically, links and buttons carry accessible names, and colour contrast meets the AA thresholds, because those are the things the automated check enforces.

What we have not yet tested, stated plainly

Automated testing catches a meaningful share of accessibility problems, but not all of them. We have not yet completed manual testing with assistive technology, including screen readers, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation by a person rather than a script. A site can pass every automated check and still be awkward or confusing to use with a screen reader.

We would rather tell you that than imply a level of assurance we have not earned. Manual and assistive-technology testing is planned, and we will update this page with what it finds.

The test itself

The Aromha Brain Health Test measures your sense of smell, which means it requires physically smelling scent labels and handling the cards. That is inherent to what the test measures, not a design choice we can remove.

The software side of the test is built for keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, and sufficient contrast. If you need help taking the test, someone may assist you with handling the cards and entering your answers.

If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to scented products or fragrance materials, please do not use the test. See our FAQs for more on that.
